Bored of watching content on your current set of subscriptions? Don’t worry, the Apple TV app is now available on Android TV-based devices. This is one of those rare apps to spill out of iDevices onto Google’s platform, and it’s worth trying.
The big G told 9to5Google that the Apple TV app is now available for the entire “Android TV OS ecosystem” starting today. That includes streaming devices such as the Mi TV Stick and Box and the TiVO Stream 4K.
An executive from Xiaomi India confirmed that the app is coming to its entire lineup of TVs. We looked for the app on the OnePlus TV in India, and we can confirm it’s already available.

If you have bought an Apple device, the company throws in a one-year subscription to the Apple TV+ streaming service. Plus, the iPhone maker has extended this trial period a few times, so you can enjoy it free of cost for some more months.
Once the trial period ends, the streaming service costs $4.99 per month. It has some great titles, including Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Servent. It’s worth getting a subscription for a month or two, and finish some of these shows and movies.
Notably, once you install the Apple TV app on your TV or streaming device, you can easily scan a QR code from your iPhone or your iPad to sign in without having to go through the hassle of typing your credentials through the remote.
Go enjoy some Ted Lasso!
