Two curious Apple trademarks hint at new components for iPhone 7

Apple, which is hours away from dropping new iPhones on the world, has filed two trademarks that could hint at what’s inside.

The curiously named ‘A10 Fusion’ and ‘iSight Duo’ are tricky to parse. While we can (probably safely) assume that iSight Duo is just the official branding for the double-camera array on the iPhone 7 Plus, A10 Fusion is a bit trickier.

As MacRumors points out, Fusion is the name Apple gives its SSD-HDD drives on desktop computers like the iMac. The ‘A’ is Apple’s tag for its mobile SoC processors.

The A10 is the chipset we believe will be inside the iPhone 7, but Fusion throws us off. It’s possible Apple is re-naming its X-variant chipset, which we typically find inside iPads, but your guess is as good as ours.

Hopefully, we find out about both in a few hours.
