Twitter is giving away 140 free NFTs — here’s how to get one

Twitter’s into NFTs now. But that’s not surprising given the CEO Jack Dorsey is super interested in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

But the firm’s not trying to making money from NFTs yet. It’s simply giving away 140 of them for free. Twitter posted seven tweets yesterday showing off these pieces of digital art — so 20 copies of each are going for no cost.

What do you have to do to get one? Nothing super complicated, just reply to any of these tweets. That also means that you’ve got a slim chance of winning one, given thousands of users are replying to these tweets.

Twitter is hosting these NFTs on Rarible, a marketplace for digital arts. The company said the platform has seen more than 29 million tweets about NFTs since the beginning of the year. Hot topic, eh?

In March, Dorsey sold his first tweet as an NFT through Valuables by Cent for $2.9 million.

Different kinds of digital goods are raking in high interest from internet aficionados. Yesterday, NFT of the internet’s original source code written by Sir Tim Berners-Lee was sold for a whopping $5.4 million.
