The code hosting company started testing this feature last December, and now it’s available to everyone. You can upload .mp4 and .mov files to issues, pull requests, and discussion comments.
Apart from easily showing what bugs the code is causing, videos can be great to demonstrate why you’re placing a pull request, or what functionality you aim to add to the project with your latest contribution.
Plus, if it’s an educational project, videos can help budding programmers build their chops with more descriptive lessons.
GitHub said that apart from the web interface, you’ll be able to upload videos from its iOS and Android apps too. If you work on mobile apps, you can now upload a screen recording of app testing, directly from your phone.
You can learn more about the feature here.
