Oh no… Elon Musk is gonna host Saturday Night Live

Is there anything Elon Musk can’t do? The modern-day Renaissance man has already set his sights on colonizing Mars, saving the world from environmental catastrophe, developing a “revolutionary” subway system, and putting chips in all our brains. But his latest venture could be his most daring yet.

The Tesla tycoon will host “Saturday Night Live” for the first time on May 8, finally giving his comedic genius the spotlight it deserves.

If Musk’s track record is anything to go by, comedy-lovers are in for a real treat.

The 49-year-old has previously tickled us with sophomoric 4/20 puns, countless stolen memes, gags about people dying on his conquest of Mars, and quips implying that a diver who rescued a schoolboy football team was a pedophile.

His hilarious jests leave anyone with a funny bone rolling in the aisles. But some humorless ingrates have impudently mocked the news of his SNL appearance.

Comedian Josh Gondelman tweeted that it was “huge for guys still making ‘that’s what she said jokes who think they’d be great at hosting SNL,” while Rick and Morty writer Siobhan Thompson ribbed that Musk’s debut would thrill Anchorman aficionados.

Other critics said Musk was the worst choice of host since Donald Trump. Ouch.

Saturday Night Live cast members were also peeved by the announcement. But anyone who thinks Musk shouldn’t host SNL because he isn’t funny clearly hasn’t seen the show in years.
