Millions of people were able to get their hands on one of the new iPhones on the launch weekend, with the gradual global rollout continuing last Friday with 20 more countries. Now, Apple has announced that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are finally arriving in China, with pre-orders kicking off on October 10 ahead of the launch a week later on October 17.
While China was among the first swathe of nations to receive the iPhone 5S, this time around things have been a little more sticky, with local regulators finally approving the device after Apple addressed security concerns around the potential leaking of personal data.
The devices will be available from Apple retail stores and in-store at all three major Chinese networks (China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom), as well as authorized third-party resellers. Pre-orders will only be available from the Apple Online Store on October 10, but from October 14 you can reserve a device for in-store pick-up on October 17.
